Stove

The wood stove is available for your warmth and enjoyment.  There is wood in the house on the rack as well as out back in the wood sheds.  The stove can get hot, so please keep your kids from touching it and getting burned. Keep the doors closed at all times unless adding wood to the fire. 

How to operate the stove:

• Turn handles on both sides of stove towards you. 
• Stack 2-3 logs crosswise in the stove.
• Place 2-3 fire starter stick below where the 2 logs join and light with the lighter.
• Once the fire is going, turn the left handle away from you.
• The right handle is for fine adjustment. 
• When going to bed/leaving the house, turn both handles away from you. Slowly and eventually the fire will go out on its own.
